The Ann Street Gallery is pleased to present a lecture and demonstration on the ancient medium of encaustic art on Thursday, March 18 at 2:00 pm.
The event will be held in conjunction with Fahrenheit 180: A Group Encaustic Exhibition, which is currently on view in the gallery through April 10. Cynthia Winika from R&F Paints in Kingston, NY will discuss a brief history of encaustic art and its origins, as well as demonstrate the various uses and methodologies of encaustic paints. The lecture is free and open to the public.
