On April 9, Safe Harbors received a Visionary Award for expanding employment opportunities for youth and adults who are blind or deaf-blind. Safe Harbors was nominated by the Association for the Visually Impaired and honored at The Metropolitan Placement Consortium's "Breaking Barriers" Awards Luncheon in New York City. Director of Operations Ramona Monteverde accepted the award.
