Join us for a SUPERNATURAL garden party on the Green, featuring fresh new public artwork, live music, a silent auction, delicious food, and delightful company as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Safe Harbors Green.
Individual tickets are $175. Ticket price increases to $200 on September 1.
In the summer of 2016, Safe Harbors transformed a vacant lot at the corner of Broadway and Liberty Street into a vibrant, biodynamic half-acre park. A decade later, the Green is an enduring testament to Safe Harbors’ commitment to revitalizing downtown Newburgh with innovative development projects that prioritize community care, sustainability, and responsible stewardship.
At the gala we will honor our 2026 Cornerstone of the Community Bryan Quinn, designer of Safe Harbors Green. We will also recognize our Safe Harbors Green Stewardship Partner, Resorts World Hudson Valley, as well as the many community members and partners who helped bring the lot to life in 2016.
We are thrilled to be partnering with our neighbors at Downstate (Chef/Owners Fernando Cordova & Brandon Grimila), who have designed a fresh, Mexico City-inspired menu for this year’s gala.

Given at the gala each year, the Cornerstone of the Community Award honors the vision, leadership, and hard work of community champions making positive change in Newburgh. As the landscape designer of Safe Harbors Green, Bryan Quinn partnered with Safe Harbors to intentionally create a natural space that would feature native species, promote pollinators, and foster ecological sustainability, while serving as a safe and lush gathering space for all in our community. A decade later, Bryan’s design continues to provide Newburgh with a beautiful and biodynamic green space in the heart of the city.
Bryan Quinn is an artist, applied ecologist, and founder of One Nature LLC, a Hudson Valley-based practice focused on ecological design, construction, nursery growing, and long-term land stewardship. His work moves between gardens, public landscapes, habitat projects, and larger restoration efforts, linking local practice to wider environmental movements seeking to repair damaged ecosystems and reshape human relationships with the living world. For more than two decades, Quinn has worked with plants, water, stone, soil, decay, seasonality, and ecological change as both practical materials and artistic media. His method produces a distinct aesthetic in which human expression is restrained in service of the larger ecological good. Rather than using landscape to project human control or personal style, his work allows biodiversity, habitat, succession, and long-term resilience to guide form, experience, and beauty. A returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Quinn holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Environmental Studies from Knox College. His work also includes teaching, writing, public speaking, mentorship, advocacy, and observational painting.
Since 2022, Resorts World Hudson Valley has provided vital underwriting support for the care and maintenance of Safe Harbors Green, ensuring that the park remains a safe, beautiful resource for our Newburgh community throughout the year. At the gala, we will recognize Resorts World’s continued partnership with the dedication of a new tree planted on the Green in its honor.
